Can I Use the Tabs Without the App?
Yes, the Dharma Dr Tabs can be used without the app by entering Independent Mode. This allows you to start a simple bilateral stimulation session using the built-in default settings, even if your phone is not available.
Independent Mode Overview
- Lights: On, alternating between left and right Tabs
- Vibration: 2 intensity options
- Audio: Off (not available without the app)
- Speed: 3 speed options
How to Use Tabs Without the App
- Remove the Tabs from the charging case
The Tabs will power on automatically when removed from the case. - Activate Independent Mode
Press the button on each Tab once if they are not powered on. With both tabs powered, press the button on the tab with ~ symbol to start. - Controlling the session
- The tab with ~ symbol controls Speed, 3 settings are available. If you click through all the speeds it will return to standby mode.
- The tab with volume bar symbol controls Intensity, 2 settings are available. You can freely change intensity without it disrupting the session.
- End the session
Click through the Speed settings with the ~ symbol tab until it returns to standby mode and stops.
Limitations of Independent Mode
- Speed and intensity are limited to 3 speed options and 2 intensity options.
- No access to advanced app features (Auto Stop, Cycle Count, Presets, Remote Access).
- No session tracking or summaries.
Troubleshooting
- Tabs not turning on — Make sure they are charged. Place in the case and connect to power for at least 30 minutes.
- No vibration or lights — Press the button on each Tab to confirm Independent Mode is active.
- One Tab not responding — Place both Tabs back in the case, close the lid, wait 10–15 seconds, then remove and try again.

- Independent Mode is best for short, simple sessions without customization.
- For full control over speed, intensity, lights, vibration, and audio, connect to the Dharma Dr app.
- Always recharge the Tabs after use so they’re ready for the next session.
